About Ghanaian Society for Biomedical Scientists
A national professional and scientific organization representing Clinical Biomedical Scientists, Biomedical Scientists, Biomedical Researchers, and Biomedical Science students in Ghana.
Vision
To be the recognized national voice and professional home of Clinical Biomedical Scientists and the wider biomedical science community in Ghana.
Mission
To advance biomedical science education, research, mentorship, and career development in Ghana, connect students and professionals across universities, hospitals, and industry, and support the growth of the profession, including a clear, nationally recognized professional identity for Clinical Biomedical Scientists.
Why GSBS exists
Biomedical Sciences students and graduates in Ghana have not had a dedicated national professional home, one that supports student chapters, mentorship, research collaboration, and career development the way established professions do. GSBS was founded to build that home first: a community, a research network, and a career pathway for the profession, with professional recognition as one part of that broader growth, not the whole of it.
